Oiling Cricket Bat – you should only use raw linseed oil to prepare your bat.
- Linseed oil softens your bat and knits them together.
- Linseed oil helps in retaining moisture levels within bat and reduces chance of cracking and splitting while playing.
- Use either soft cloth or paintbrush and apply 5-6 coats (each coat is of half tea spoon). You should oil face, toe and edges.
- Once you have oiled your bat, allow it to dry in horizontal position. Once bat is dry you can start knocking.
